State-run schools teachers in Khyber demanded the authorities’ concern to apprehend the killer of their deceased colleague, Rohul Amin Shaheed in a protest rally held in front of Bara press club on Friday.
It is to be stated here that Rohul Amin was shot and injured by unknown armed persons last day who later on succumbed to his wounds.
In a joint demonstration organized and attended by large numbers of volunteers of All Tribal Teachers Association, Young Teachers Association, Malgari Ustazan Union, EATA and Tanzeem Asateza, Pakistan Khyber chapter expressed their deep concern over the cold blood murder of a teacher and urged for provision of security to the teachers.
Addressing on the occasion head of All Tribal Teachers Association, Naseer Shah, President Young Teachers Association, Shahid Gul, chief of Malgari Ustazan Union, Khyber Gulab Din Afridi, President EATA Hawas Khan and Tanzeem Asateza, Pakistan Khyber, Sharifullah Afridi, Principal Sir Nawab Gul and others calorically condemned killing of a teacher at the school gate and asked for immediate arrest of the murderer.
The teachers announced three day mourning to be observed since coming Monday over mishap and asked for provision of a Shaheed package to the deceased teacher.
Deputy Commissioner and other officials had been already informed of the deteriorated law and order situation in the area but to in avail, they added.
They demanded provision of foolproof security to all schools across the district and asked for exemplary punishment for the officials who neglected their duties.
They threatened that if the murderer of the late teacher, Rohul Amin was not arrested in three, then a five members committee,comprised would formulate strategy for future agitation.
The protesters were holding placards inscribed with statements in favor of their demands and chanted slogans against administration and security agencies.
