Governor Shah Farman issued strict instructions to the secretary irrigation for ensuring water supply in Wach Canal to avoid further damage to standing crops in suburban localities of the provincial capital.
He expressed serious concerns over the prolonged suspension of irrigation water in Wach Canal and asked the quarter concerned to expedite work to ensure the release of water to avoid further damage to standing crops in suburban localities of the provincial capital.
Chief Minister Khan called also attended the meeting held at Governor House Peshawar on Thursday. Irrigation Department Tahir Orakzai and Project Director Remodeling of Warsak Canal Project was also present.
The supply of water to Wach Canal by machinery should start in September next year. In any case, the project of public interest should be completed within the stipulated time and no negligence, carelessness, or negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
Governor Shah Farman said that re-modeling of Warsak Canal project is a very important public interest project which will not only alleviate the deprivations of the public area but also thousands of acres in the suburbs of Peshawar.
