PESHAWAR
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali on Tuesday stressed medical professionals to work with passion and focus energies to resolve problems of ailing community.
He was addressing certificates distribution ceremony of community midwives in Provincial Health Services Academy Peshawar. The ceremony was also attended by Vice Chancellor PHSA, Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, Secretary Health, Mehmood Aslam Wazir, Director General Health, Shoukat Ali Khan, health experts and students.
He said that medical professionals should serve humanity with dedication and professionalism besides playing role to address differences in society. He also inaugurated academic blocs and Centre of Excellence and Applied Sciences for Bachelor Degree Program in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Post Graduate Paramedical Institute.
Governor also distributed certificates among midwives who have completed education in the academy. Congratulating parents on the occasion, he urged midwives to help out ailing community and added that role of community midwives is to reduce mortality rates of newborns and mothers.
He said that government was spending huge amount to improve healthcare delivery system regretting that common man is still not receiving benefits of our efforts. He said that we should avoid blaming each other and strive for the welfare and facilitation of general public.
Governor also paid tribute to administration of PHSA for improving education standard and preparing midwives according to meet challenges in existing health scenario.
