TAKH BHAI: On the call of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the local leadership of the tehsil on Saturday announced a shutter-down strike on August 28 against the additional taxes on electricity bills and rising inflation. Addressing a press conference at the Takht Bhai Press Club, a delegation of JI led by former MPA, Nadir Shah, stated that a complete shutter down strike would be observed on August 28, adding that government economic policies have failed to provide any relief to masses. The members of the delegation, former candidate for PK-60 Noman Yousaf, Takht Bhai Bar Association President Saifullah Khan Advocate, and others maintained that the government’s policies have made life difficult for the common man.
