LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) while issuing notice to federal government and respective authorities on the petition filed against hike in prices of petroleum products has sought reply from them. The petition filed by Judicial Activism panel came up for hearing before LHC bench led by Justice Shahid Karim Thursday. The petition said the repeated increase in the prices of petroleum products by government is against the public interest and illegal. Azhar Siddique advocate for petitioner told the court government has not filed reply so far in the matter of hike in price of petroleum products which runs contrary to the principle of transparency. The court while issuing notice to the respondents sought detailed reply on next hearing. ONLINE
