Govt should exempt property business transfer tax: Haji Owais

Office bearers of Property Dealer Association (APDA) on Sunday said that in order to handle the severely affected property business after the devastating flood, the government should exempt the property business from registration and transfer tax and remove the ban on transfer on in Khana Kashat and save the property dealers from bankruptcy.
These views were expressed by Divisional President Mujeebur Rahman, divisional vice president Awas Khan, Vice Chairman Waseem Abbas, , and District President Wajid Dawan and other cabinet members while addressing a meeting of the association.
Speakers said that the infrastructure of the province has been destroyed and business activities have come to a standstill due to which the real estate business has been severely affected. They added that the property dealers who are suffering from problems will go bankrupt.
They said that the provincial government should declare the province as a disaster and grant a one-year exemption from registration taxes and also immediately remove the ban on transfer in Khana Kashat and take concrete steps to save property and employment.
