Govt takes measures for welfare of martyres families: IGP

Chief Capital Police Officer (CCPO), Dr Mian Saeed here Tuesday said the Government was taking measures for welfare of families of police martyres.
He said in line with the vision of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, all possible steps for the welfare and facilitation of police martyrs and veterans.
Under the leadership of CCPO Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed, a dignified ceremony was held today at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, Peshawar.
The event was attended by SSP Operations Masood Ahmed, SSP Coordination Khalid Khan, other police officers, and a large number of the families of martyrs.
During the ceremony, financial aid was distributed in the form of checks worth Rs. 50,000 per family to the families of 150 police martyrs.
On the occasion, CCPO Peshawar Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed said in his address that Peshawar Police is continuing reforms and all possible efforts for the welfare and facilitation of the families of martyrs and veterans.
He said that the police martyrs sacrificed their lives for the establishment of peace and the protection of the lives and property of the public.
Their sacrifices will always be remembered. In accordance with the vision of IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, all available resources are being utilized for the welfare of the families of martyrs and veteran personnel.
The CCPO said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is a force of brave individuals, whose history is marked by courage, sacrifice, and service.
He said martyrs are our identity and heroes, while the veterans are our pride, who rendered unforgettable services for the establishment of peace.
