CHARSADDA
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, said here Sunday that under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz, the federal government is taking extensive measures to put the country on the path of fast track economic stability and development.
He said that today the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are themselves asking what they have received after fourteen years.
“The people of the province are still worried about basic facilities,” he expressed these views while addressing a large joining rally in Utmanzai, Charsadda district.
On this occasion, Fahd Azam Khan, the nephew of well-known political and social figure Tariq Azam Khan from Charsadda, a senior PTI leader and former district nazim-e-ala, announced joining Pakistan Muslim League (N) along with his family and thousands of supporters. Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam warmly welcomed him into the party.
Addressing the gathering, Engineer Amir Muqam said that the inclusion of influential leaders like Fahd Azam Khan in PML-N is clear proof that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are now placing their trust in the politics of development and service.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf governed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for fourteen years but failed to deliver anything for the province. That is why political leaders like Fahd Azam Khan are now leaving PTI and joining PML-N.
He said there is a huge difference between PTI’s claims and its actual performance on ground, and people are now asking what the province and Charsadda received after fourteen years of poor governance and inadequate facilities.
Engineer Amir Muqam further said that the law and order situation in the province is poor and mentioned that during a recent laptop distribution ceremony, he was briefed that several educational institutions are facing financial difficulties, and instead of being resolved, basic problems are increasing.
He said that motorways and major development projects are a reflection of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s vision, while the current provincial government in KP has no notable performance to show the public.
He added that PTI leadership is engaged not in development but in politics of mutual accusations of corruption and distribution of resources. The federal minister said that politics based on lies and hypocrisy has no future.
He thanked Fahd Azam Khan and his thousands of supporters for joining the party, stating that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will reject the politics of falsehood and will continue support PML-N’s development vision.
Referring to the federal budget, Engineer Amir Muqam said that this is the third budget of the PML-N government, in which every effort has been made to provide maximum relief to the public. He said that despite global conditions and a war-like environment in region, the government has presented a balanced and people-friendly budget.
He said that people are joining PML-N because they know that it is the only party believes in practical work and public service rather than mere promises.
During his speech, Engineer Amir Muqam referred to the “Battle of Truth” and said that Pakistan defeated an enemy several times larger within just four days, proving its capabilities to the world.
He paid tribute to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership and Field Marshal CDF Syed Asim Munir’s professional capabilities, saying their services for national security and stability are commendable.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan Muslim League (N) will continue its struggle for solving the problems of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, completing development projects, and ensuring a bright future for the youth.
