Nadeem Aslam Chaudary reviews progress on census in KP

An important meeting held here on Thursday with Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudary in the chair, reviewed the progress so far made on the 7th national census in the province.
According to a statement, the meeting was attended by the Provincial Census Commissioner, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), Secretary of Local Government, Home, Education, Administration, Planning and Development, Security Officials, Divisional Commissioners and other relevant officials.
It said that matters regarding field operations and financial requirements also came under discussion during the meeting.
The Provincial Census Commissioner informed the forum about the field activities of the enumerators in the province.
It was informed by the officials of the census that the seventh house census was the first digital census which will continue from March 1, 2023 to April 4, 2023 in KP.
The Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudary said on this occasion that the house census has an important role for comprehensive planning and policy making.
He said that the provincial government has been providing assistance to the federal government for conducting the head count and houses census under the first digital census programme.
Nadeem Aslam Chaudary maintained that the KP government would ensure the smooth process of census across the province and all decisions of the Pakistan Statistical Institute would be followed in letter and spirit.
