Govt to provide homes from PM Housing project, Sehat cards to journalists: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD : Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said government will provide homes to the journalists from Prime Minister (PM) Housing Project and Sehat card.

He tweeted “ the process of reforms is being launched again in the ministry of information. The project for making PTV HD is pending since 2019. Dead line of June 01 has been given for making PTV News HD. PTV sports will too be made HD in the current year.

He held that foundation of new English channel is being laid. Karachi and Lahore studio will be furnished. APP will be turned into digital news agency. Steps have been started to make PID and advertisement system paperless. External publicity wing will also be renewed.

He further said in his tweet restoration film and drama is our first priority. Production work on the life of Sirsyed Ahmad Khan and Tipu Sultan is being started. We will extend loan facility upt Rs 50 million to the young dramatists and film makers.

Home from PM Housing project and Sehat card will be provided to the journalists, he announced. Legislation is being brought to ensure the payment of salaries besides introducing the insurance. Providing facilities to press club will be my policy. We will extend full support to digital media.

He stated that national anthem will be released within some months following the completion of its digital recording.
