Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan has said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will seek public input for the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27 to make the planning process more transparent and inclusive.
In a statement, he said the ADP for the upcoming fiscal year had reached its final stages and was being prepared in line with the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan and directives of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
He said an online link would be shared through the social media platforms of all deputy commissioners, enabling citizens to submit their suggestions, feedback and concerns directly to the government.
According to him, the portal will remain open from May 4 to May 8, during which the public can share input on development priorities across various sectors.
Mr Jan said that viable proposals received from citizens would be incorporated into the ADP to ensure that development initiatives reflect the actual needs and priorities of the people.
He added that the initiative was part of the government’s commitment to participatory governance and aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in policy making.
The special assistant said the move would help improve governance and reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to promote public welfare and sustainable development.
