PESHAWAR
The Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Center and Blood Services in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continues to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable thalassemia patients through its comprehensive, free-of-cost healthcare services. Today, the Center reaffirmed its commitment by providing fully screened blood transfusions, essential iron chelation medicines, and nutritious meal facilities to poor and Zakat-entitled patients who rely on these services for their survival.
Thalassemia patients require regular blood transfusions and specialized treatment to manage iron overload, a condition that can become life-threatening without timely intervention. Understanding these critical needs, Hamza Foundation has established a system that ensures safe and compatible blood supplies, along with the provision of costly iron chelation medicines that many low-income families cannot afford. In addition to medical support, the Center also offers daily lunch meals to patients and their attendants, ensuring they receive proper nourishment during treatment hours.
