Sindh Murad Ali visited Badin and other districts and inspected rain emergency measures

Heavy rain and thunderstorms battered Badin and other districts on Wednesday evening, inundating low-lying areas and streets in urban areas.
The Focal Person for rain emergency, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives Department, Government of Sindh, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah has visited different low-lying areas of district Badin along with spokesperson, Sindh Government, Abdul Wahid Halipoto and conducted meeting with different key stakeholders here in Badin which was attended by MPA Badin, Haji Taj Muhammad Mallah, MPA Arbab Amanullah, MPA Mir Allah Bux Talpur, MPA Dada Muhammad Halipoto, MPA Tanzila Ume Habiba, Yasir Bhatti, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Sheeraz Nazeer, SSP Badin, Jam Ali Asghar Halipoto, Chairman, District Council Badin and others.
On the occasion, Provincial Minister, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah directed the concerned authorities to provide relief to the flood-affected families and Badin citizens when Yasir Bhatti, DC Badin also briefed them about the arrangements and taken efforts by the district Government.
Meanwhile, the Sindh CM also visited Badin and other districts and inspected rain emergency measures.
Sindh’s CM Shah was talking to the media during his visit said he himself visited districts to monitor arrangements to tackle the rain emergency situation. “Continuous heavy rainfall makes the rainwater drainage a difficult challenge,” he said. CM Sindh said that his government building 2.1 million housing units for around 12 million people affected by 2022 heavy rainfall and flooding. “We have completed two lac houses, while six lac homes have been under construction,” he said. CM Shah acknowledged the challenges in managing water drainage, particularly in urban areas, and assured that ministers had been assigned to monitor rain-related measures in different districts. Despite the challenges, CM Shah claimed that the situation across Sindh was “well under control” and directed the district administration to shift affected villagers to safe places.
