Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Wednesday awarded commendation certificates with cash to police personnel as reward for showing extraordinary performance in tracing serious crime cases.
A ceremony in this connection was held at Police lines Peshawar.
The police officers and jawans who were awarded included DSP Town Circle Sajjad Hussain, SHO Town Police Station Ibrahim Khan, ASIs Akhtar Saeed, Ali Rehman, Head Constable Junaid Shahzad, Irshad Ali, Mazhar Sher and Constables Sajid Ali and Tahseenullah.
A statement issued here said that those who were awarded played a key role in tracing and arresting a dozen of accused involved in crimes against property and other serious cases.
The officers and Jawans utilized technical resources and completed a comprehensive investigation in record time successfully.
Addressing the event, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar made it clear that along with the performance of their official duties, they should also ensure the reformation of the society and the help of those who seek help.
The CCPO furthered that KP Police is an exemplary police in every respect, which has set new paths for the welfare of the people and service for other agencies by making service to the people as its motto.
Following the footsteps of his predecessors, he can increase the prestige and honor of the department, he added.
