HYDERABAD:Glowing tributes were paid to seasoned Pakistani actor Mustafa Qureshi at an event “An Evening With Mustafa Qureshi” organized in Hyderabad on Sunday evening by Mehran Arts Council. The event was attended by Mahtab Akber Rashdi, Naz Saheto, Shafi Faqeer, Rafique Essani, DIG Pir Muhammad Shah, and Niyaz Phanwer besides a large number of his fans who were anxious to see a glimpse of their favourite actor. Speakers termed his contributions remarkable and unforgettable and held that Mr. Qureshi is ranked among the best actors of the century. Addressing the mammoth gathering veteran television and media personality Mahtab Akber Rashdi who had been a colleague of Mustafa Qureshi at Radio Pakistan Hyderabad Station said that She was too young to act in radio plays but people like Mustafa Qureshi, Qurban Jeelani, and Abdul Karim Baloch burnished her skills and taught the art of dialogue delivery and public speaking. She said that the stalwart actor of Lollywood had always left an impact on his fans through his distinguished performances in movies like Maula Jatt and Lakhon Me Ek. “It is a praiseworthy move that the Maheran Art Council has paid homage to the legendary actor during his lifetime, otherwise there is a trend of organizing posthumous events’’; She said adding that the Pakistani film industry flourished following the contributions of Mustafa Qureshi.
