Human rights day observes in Landi Kotal

Like elsewhere in the country, world human rights day is commemorated here in Landi Kotal on Sunday.
In this connection an awareness walk was conducted that was attended by Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Rameez Ali Shah, councillors, officials and members of civil society.
Speaking on the occasion AAC said that the aim of celebrating the day was to aware the people aware of their basic rights being enjoyed by the citizens of the developed societies.
It was a need of time to ensure equality and justice in the society and to supply basic rights to them.
Village councilor Aziz Khan said that it was obligatory on the State to guarantee human rights of every single citizen of the country and to make society free of tyranny.
The participants demanded that the United Nation and other civilized societies to take notice of anti-human atrocities in Palestine and Kashmir and join hands with them to raise voice against inhuman practices being faced by the innocent Palestinians and Kashmiris.
The marchers while carrying banner inscribed with statements in favor of human rights and chanted slogans against powers that usurped basic rights of the forcibly subjugated people and violated human rights.
