ISLAMABAD: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Hurriyat leaders have said that the Modi regime is arbitrarily detaining Kashmiris to force them into submission. According to Kashmir Media Service, the leaders said that Hurriyat leaders and activists were being booked under draconian laws for their political beliefs. They deplored that India was denying space to those seeking freedom in IIOJK by repeatedly arresting them on fabricated charges. The Hurriyat leaders said that frequently invoking draconian laws against Kashmiris to prolong their detention was the worst form of political vendetta, with thousands of Kashmiris languishing in Indian jails under repressive laws. The leaders said Kashmiri prisoners were subjected to inhuman treatment in Indian prisons, but the Modi regime’s vindictive policies would not stop Kashmiris from resisting the occupation.
