ICT Police bust bike theft gang

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police continued its coordinated crackdown against criminal elements, arresting two members of an organized motorcycle theft gang and recovering 14 stolen motorcycles worth millions of rupees.
An official told media on Thursday that the operation was carried out by Industrial Area Police against a gang involved in multiple bike theft incidents.
He said the arrested accused confessed to their involvement in several theft cases during initial interrogation.
The official said the accused were identified as Irfan Sajid and Ali Murad, as confirmed by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq.He said all legal formalities would be fulfilled to ensure exemplary punishment to the accused.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said indiscriminate action would continue against those depriving citizens of their valuable assets. He said large-scale operations were being conducted against organized and active gangs across the capital.
