Pakistan’s middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed is enjoying form of his life in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), as he smashed 30 balls’ fifty against Khulna Tigers to become joint-leading run getter in tournament’s current season.
Both Fortune Barishal’s Shakib al Hassan and Iftikhar Ahmed now have scored 347 each. Iftikhar had also smashed a 45-balls century in a match against Rangpur Riders at earlier stage of the tournament.
On Friday, Iftikhar came to the crease at 97-2 in 12th over, and stitched a 52-run partnership with Shakib to set a perfect platform for finish.
The 32-year-old smashed three fours and as many sixes in his blistering knock. Iftikhar took a particular liking to Mark Deyal and Paul van Meekeren, hitting for a six and four each.
