Inspector General Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Khan here Friday visited Swabi and inaugurated Command and Control Room, Ababeel Force Squad and Police Fitness Gym in Police Lines.
Regional Police Officer, Muhammad Sulaiman, District Police Officer, Haroon Rashid and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
Briefing the IGP about security measures, DPO said that 238 cameras have been installed in various areas of the district including busy places and all the important installations are being monitored through command and control center by technical police experts.
He told that prime objective of command system is to prevent street crimes, terrorism and theft of vehicles besides proper monitoring of police posts and police stations.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP said that Ababeel Squad would provide rapid response to people and prevent incidents of crimes by continuous monitoring.
He said that Ababeel Squad comprises trained and professional police force that is fully equipped to meet any situation.
He said that Ababeel Sqaud would soon clear the district of any anti-social elements and people would soon witness the results of security measures being taken by police for their security.
It is worth mentioning that Ababeel Force is composed of fifty trained policemen that are given heavy motorcycles and weapons to increase performance. The force would be in direct contact with control room through modern communication system.
