IGP-KP calls on Governor Haji Gulam Ali

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari called on Governor Haji Gulam Ali on Tuesday. During the meeting, IG Moazzam Jah Ansari briefed the governor about steps taken for maintaining law and order situation across the province.
A press release issued by Governor House Peshawar said that governor KP Haji Gulam Ali has expressed serious concerned over the increasing incidences of street crimes in Peshawar and terrorists attacks in other parts of the province.
Haji Gulam Ali He emphasized on the need to take practical steps to strengthen and improve the Safe City project to prevent street crimes in Peshawar.
The governor said that since local government representatives are well aware of public problems there should also be a mechanism of effective communication between local government representatives and the police department to ensure peace and order.
The tribal youths
have been deprived of the basic need like education; therefore, the
tribal youth should get special concessions regarding educational
qualification in the recruitment of police force, added.
IG-KP Moazzam Jah Ansari mentioned on the occasion that the police department is diligently performing its professional duties to prevent street crimes, suppressing those involved in crimes and reducing the crime rate.
Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali was also present on the occasion.
