The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Zulfiqar Hameed, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the police officers and personnel who have been awarded the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) and the Presidential Police Medal (PPM) for their extraordinary bravery and exceptional service.
The President of Pakistan has honored 30 officers and personnel from the KP Police with the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal, while 29 others received the Presidential Police Medal. These awards were presented in recognition of their unparalleled courage, dedication, and selfless service, particularly in the ongoing battle against terrorism. Notably, 11 of these awards were conferred posthumously.
In his address, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed praised the awardees for their relentless commitment to duty, professional excellence, and extraordinary bravery.
“These officers and personnel represent the very essence of patriotism and sacrifice. Their remarkable acts of valor are a source of immense pride not just for the KP Police, but for the entire nation. They have shown exceptional dedication in the face of immense challenges, and their contributions continue to strengthen our resolve in the ongoing fight against terrorism,” he stated.
The IGP emphasized that these awards are not only a recognition of the individual bravery and sacrifices of the awardees but also a tribute to the valor of the entire KP Police Force. “Our police force has a history rich in sacrifices and courage. The awardees’ dedication, hard work, and honesty have earned them these prestigious honors, which have been acknowledged at both the provincial and national levels,” IGP Hameed remarked.
The officers and personnel who received the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal include SSP Nisar Ahmed Khan, SP Tariq Habib, SP Farhan Khan, SP Raza Muhammad, DSP Shah Mumtaz Khan, DSP Fazal Wahid, Inspector Ziaullah, Inspector Rehmatullah, Sub-Inspector Fawad Ali, Sub-Inspector Ijaz Khan, Sub-Inspector Imranuddin, ASI Waris Khan, Constable Jamshed Khan, Constable Muhammad Sajjad, Constable Arshad Khan, Constable Waheedullah, Constable Muslim Jan, and Constable Khizar Hayat.
Additionally, 11 posthumous awards for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal were given to DSP Riaz Al-Salaam, Inspector Mubarak Hussain, ASI Murshid Ali, LHC Rafiullah, LHC Barkatullah, Constable Ashraf Zahid, Constable Inam-ur-Rehman, Constable Abdul Nasir, Constable Kaleemullah, Constable Shah Fahad.
The IGP also acknowledged the sacrifice of the families of martyrs who received the awards posthumously. He called their legacy a beacon of light for the current and future generations of law enforcement officers.
The recipients of the Pakistan Police Medal (PPM) include DSP Jalil Khan, DSP Gul Sheid Ali, Inspector Ziaullah Khan, Inspector Liaquat Shah, Sub-Inspector Altaf Hussain, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Farooq, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Khushal, Sub-Inspector Ahmedullah, Sub-Inspector Ibad Wazir, Sub-Inspector Qazi Muhammad Arif, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Umar, Sub-Inspector Abdullah Jalal, Sub-Inspector Bilal Hussain, Head Constable Muhammad Javed, Head Constable Fazal Hadi, Head Constable Shirazur Rehman, Head Constable Muhammad Fazil, Head Constable Fazal Rabi, Constable Shahzad Gul, Constable Qamar Zia, Constable Sir Muhammad, Constable Mustafa Khan, Constable Amjad Ali, Constable Hammad, Constable Inamullah Jan, Constable Rahat Gul, Constable Ismatullah, Constable Ijaz Khan, Constable Gul Mast, and Constable Islam Gul.
The IGP concluded by emphasizing that the courage and sacrifices of these awardees serve as an inspiration for every member of the KP Police, reinforcing the values of integrity, professionalism, and patriotism in the force.
