PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Police on Tuesday visited the command and control room set-up at Khan Raziq Shaheed police station to review security arrangements for the processions on 9th and 19th Muharram in Peshawar. CCPO Peshawar, Qasim Ali Khan, briefed the IG on the security measures in place. The IG reviewed the security of Imambargahs and procession routes across Peshawar through CCTV cameras installed at strategic locations. He emphasized that respecting Muharram is a collective responsibility of the entire Muslim community, and everyone should play their role in maintaining peace and order. IGP-KP praised the sacrifices made by police, security forces, citizens, and businessmen for establishing peace in the province, especially in Peshawar. DLP Report
