Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry reviewed the Safe City’s technology-based systems and directed officers to make greater use of modern technology and digital solutions for crime prevention and effective policing in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Thursday that the IGP Sohail chaired an important meeting at the Safe City Command and Control Centre, attended by SSP Safe City Shehzada Umar Babar, Director IT Atif Abbas and other Safe City officers.
The meeting reviewed the Safe City’s modern technology-based systems, command and control mechanism, surveillance system, ongoing initiatives and measures for providing timely and effective police services to citizens.
Sohail directed officers to further improve the Safe City’s technology-based systems and make full use of modern tools to strengthen coordination and policing across Islamabad.
He said modern technology and digital solutions should be effectively used for crime prevention and maintenance of law and order in the capital.
The IGP Sohail also stressed better use of Safe City resources to improve police response and provide citizens with timely services.
