ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply from interior ministry on arrest of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The petition seeking details of cases against Shah Mehmood Qureshi came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq here Wednesday.
Islamabad Police told the court 2 cases against Shah Mehmood Qureshi are registered in Islamabad and 6 old cases also stand against him. But it is not known he is where and in what case he is arrested.
The court issued notice to interior ministry the court should be informed Shah Mehmood Qureshi is arrested in what case.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) told the court Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrested under 3-MPO orders of deputy commissioner. He is imprisoned in Adiala Jail.
The court while directing to resort to respective forum wrapped up the petition.
Islamabad Police filed record pertaining to 7 cases against Asad Qaisar in high court.
Counsel Babar Awan raised objection about incomplete record and the court issued order to file report of other cases till tomorrow.
