Free will marriage case
Islamabad: Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the parties while sending the girl to Darulaman in free will marriage case. During the hearing Thursday on the petition filed by the girl’s mother , the court asked the girl who got married of her choice what was her age. The girl replied that she is more than 17 years old. The court asked the girl where your marriage took place and what do your husband do’ Girl replied that I got married in court and my husband is unemployed. The Deputy Attorney General said that no marriage takes place in the court. The girl refused to meet her mother on a court inquiry, on which the court said that the FIR should be registered against the Nikah Khuwan. The girl will neither go with her mother nor will we order her to go along with her husband. The court expressed displeasure over the absence of SHO Khanna police station and directed the Deputy Attorney General to assist. The court sent the girl to Darulaman and issued notices to Nikah Khawan and the girl’s husband. Online
