Matter of death of two youths in police encounter
ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard the petition in connection with judicial inquiry filed by the family members of those accused in F-9 park incident and were killed in alleged police encounter.
The petition came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq Tuesday.
The court summoned SHO GOLRA Police on next hearing along with record.
Advocate Qazi Adil appeared on behalf of family members of those killed in police encounter.
The court remarked during the hearing of the case “
You have gone to magistrate. If we follow law a bit it is good.
The counsel for the petitioner said “my Lord to whom we should give application to acquire dead body.
The court inquired tell me high court has what powers to constitute judicial commission. It will look good to me if it happens so that high court should have powers to constitute judicial commission. We call the concerned SHO and ascertain facts from him. You advised them to go to magistrate.
When I was practicing as lawyer then I went on my own from Tehsildar to high court. I know the entire system because I have worked hard in field. With regret the lawyers don’t give good advice to their clients.
Black coat still bears importance. I am saying from both perspective of positive and negative. There is difference between going to SHO by a person of black coat and by a common citizen. We commit mistakes therein where we make short cuts.
The court remarked go to police station, go to magistrate. If relief is not provided from police station and magistrate then come to high court.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till next week.
