ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has suspended the conviction of one Gul Zameen in drug case. A division bench of IHC took up the case for hearing Tuesday. Danish Akbar advocate appeared on behalf of petitioner in connection with his appeal plea against punishment awarded to him by subordinate court. He argued Gul Zameen is in jail since long period. The subordinate court convicted and sentenced him and several facts were ignored in the decision. He requested the court to suspend the conviction till the decision of the appeal plea. The court suspended the sentence and ordered to submit surety bonds in the sum of Rs one lac. ONLINE
