PESHAWAR
A high-level meeting was convened at the Excise Department under the joint chairmanship of Advisor for Excise,Ihtesham Ali, and Minister for Health, Khaliq-ur-Rehman.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Excise Khalid Ilyas, Director General Excise Abdul Haleem, Directors, ETOs, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, a formal transition of departmental responsibilities took place. Minister for Health Khaliq-ur-Rehman officially handed over the Excise portfolio to Advisor Ihtesham Ali, presenting him with an honorary shield to mark the occasion. In a gesture of mutual respect, Ihtesham Ali presented a farewell shield to Khaliq-ur-Rehman, symbolizing institutional continuity and camaraderie.
Both cabinet members reaffirmed their commitment to lead their respective departments with dedication and a spirit of public service. The meeting also included discussions on the performance, reforms, and future goals of the Excise Department.
