ISLAMABAD
Imaan Mazari while appearing on video link in controversial tweets case has boycotted court’s proceedings and leveled allegations against the judge.
As per media reports, controversial tweets case against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatha came up for hearing in district and sessions courts Islamabad led by district and sessions judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka Saturday.
During the hearing of the court while ordering SSP operation and deputy director NCCIA to present the accused persons directed that the accused be presented in the court at 10 a.m.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka remarked today is last day of cross questioning in the light of order of high court.
The court announced interval during the hearing of the case till 10 a.m
The police authorities filed their reply during further hearing of the case.
The police took the plea in the reply 5 to 6 hours interval is required due to security issues and other reasons. Therefore, it is requested to court to allow to present the accused through video link.
The court while accepting police plea ordered to present Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatha through video link at 10.30 a.m
The court announced interval till 10.30 a.m during the hearing of the case.
Later Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatha were presented in the court through video link.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka inquired from the accused will you start cross questioning.
Upon it Imaan Mazari asked is media in the court.
Imaan Mazari told that they are being subjected to torture. We are not being provided water and food.
Addressing the judge she said all is being done due to him. We boycott court’s proceedings.
Judge Afzal Majoka questioned you mean you don’t want to become part of the proceedings. Wait for the decision.
Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatha stood up and went away before the expiry of the hearing.
The judge ordered the court’s staff to record all and provide it to him.
During the hearing of the case the counsel Ashraf Gujjar requested the court to summon them in the court.
Judge remarked they have appeared online. I see your request. The record of all the hearing is available. I issue written order on your plea.

The lawyers announced to boycott of the courts in Rawalpindi.
President Bar has said the arrest of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatha is illegal and unconstitutional
