PTI Chairman Imran Khan has accused JUI-F for spreading sectarianism in Bannu. The PTI Chairman tweeted on Monday, “JUI-F in Bannu promoting disrespect and hatred among different sects and religions.” He demanded Chief Minister of KP Pervaiz Khattak to take effective measures to stop sectarianism from spreading in the province. It should be noted that Tehsil Municipal Administration Bannu Sunday advertised jobs for sweepers, saying Shias, Hindus/Balmikis, and Christians will be eligible. According to an advertisement published on the directives of TeshilNazim and Tehsil Municipal Officer in a local newspaper, the administration will be hiring 14 sweepers on scale number 2.
Under the column of religion, the advertisement reads, applicants must belong to either Shia sect, or follower of Hindu or Christian religions. Later, a newspaper issued clarification, saying Tehsil Nazim Malik EhsanUllah, had apologized over controversial recruitment advertisement. “The word ‘Shia’ was mistakenly typed instead of ‘bashamool’, which was a typing error by the clerk in TMA Bannu office,” it said.
