Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and provincial minister for labor Shaukat Yousifzai warned on Monday that the incumbent federal government would cross a “ red line” if it arrested former prime minister Imran Khan.
In a statement, he accused Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led coalition government for backing a foreign conspiracy against PTI chairman Imran Khan by registering new cases, adding that coalition government has subjected its party leader to political victimization.
“There is a conspiracy to remove Imran Khan, the most popular leader of the country. The imported government is afraid of Imran Khan’s popularity, wants to arrest him on false cases,” Shaukat Yousafzai said.
KP minister for labor added that Imran Khan arrest would spark a political uncertainty across the country. He said if an attempt was made to arrest the PTI chairman the entire nation would take to the street to show solidarity with him.
Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai further said that Imran Khan was a red line for PTI leaders, workers and supporters and tantamount to playing with fire, adding that political victimization of its party leaders must be stopped.
