MARDAN
A voter from the NA-22 –Mardan III constituency of National Assembly on Thursday challenged the nomination papers of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, it emerged. Mardan’s Ali Haidar Joshi, through his lawyers, submitted an application for petition in the returning officer NA-22 office. As per the application, Joshi challenged Imran Khan’s nomination papers under section 62 of the election Act 2017. In the written application, the applicant stated that Imran Khan did not submit the details of Toshakhana gifts and details of foreign funding case.
It may be noted that Former prime minister has submitted nomination paper for this constituency for by-elections, as the seat fell vacant after the National Assembly speaker had earlier accepted the resignations of 11 PTI MNAs.
