Inauguration of controversial temple at Babri Masjid, boycott by big Hindu religious leaders

Hindu religious leaders have announced a boycott of the opening ceremony of the controversial temple on the site of the Babri Masjid in the Indian city of Ayodhya.
According to a foreign news agency, 4 major leaders of Hindus have announced not to participate in the opening ceremony of the controversial temple built by the ruling Hindu extremist party BJP of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in place of the historic Babri Masjid.
Hindu leaders termed it political event instead of religious. India’s opposition party, Congress, has already boycotted the event, calling the temple controversial. He was at the forefront of the campaign.
Babri Masjid was martyred by Hindu extremists in 1992. Thousands of Muslims protesting the destruction of the mosque were also martyred. Narendra Modi will inaugurate the controversial temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Celebrities from various fields including Bollywood stars, politicians have been invited to participate in the event.
