Today, at 0930Hrs, reportedly 3 Terrorists tried to forcibly enter Chinese Consulate, Karachi via police check post.On resistance by deployed policemen they opened firing leaving 2x cops injured (shifted to JPMC, got martyred later). The attackers reportedly hurled a hand grenade.
The guard force of Security &ManagementServices(Pvt) Ltd (SMS) including 2x Security guards (1) Shaukat (2) Kamran and a Lady Searcher (1) Ruby Razzaq; deployed inside the premises, played a significant role in management of the emergency, and proactively locked 12x visa staff members (including 10x visa applicants& 2x others) locked inside the washroom and remained in the Visa Section themselves. Meanwhile, LEAs (including Rangers and Police) reached the premises and surrounding the area, started search inside the compound for the terrorists. 3x Terrorists were killed in a cross fire with LEAs during the search operation and a suicide vest recovered.
The Management of SMSremained in constant touch with both the Chinese Officials and the guardforce, till the situation around 1102Hrs, gets clear.
All Chinese Consulate Staff are Alhamdulillah Safe and no casualty other than the 2x police officials deceased outside reported.
