LARKANA: August 14th Independence Day was celebrated with great devotion and respect in Jacobabad district like the rest of the country. On behalf of the Jacobabad district administration, a program was organized in connection with August 14 Independence Day at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. District and Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kalhoro, Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad Muhammad Yusuf Shaikh, SSP Jacobabad Dr. Sumair Noor Channa (PSP), (ASP) Muhammad Amir Shahzad, Assistant Commissioner Shahzad Ahmed, D. SP Headquarters Shahzaman Beg Dahar, In-charge DIB Shamsuddin Beg Dahar and other police officers and officers of all civil institutions across the district and social leaders participated. The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran and Naat Rasool SAW and after National Anthem of Pakistan District and Sessions Judge, Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad and SSP Jacobabad unfurled the flag. The commando squad of the police gave a salute and the police band marched past. The slogans of Pakistan Zindahbad by those participating in the event continued to echo in the air. District and Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kalhoro, Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad Muhammad Yusuf Shaikh, SSP Jacobabad Sumair Noor Chana (PSP) also planted saplings in the Deputy Commissioner’s office under the sapling campaign and prayed for the country’s security and prosperity.
