Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). According to the Kashmir Media Service, the youth were killed in a staged encounter during a cordon and search operation in the Keran area of the district on Saturday morning.
The massive search operation, named “Operation Pimple”, was launched by Indian forces on Friday and continues as per official sources. Observers said that such killings, carried out by Indian troops enjoying impunity under the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), are part of India’s continued strategy to suppress the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
