Installation of signboards completed in Kumrat to facilitate tourists

PESHAWAR: Following directives of Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture, the installation of signboards for the guidance and convenience of tourists in Kumrat Valley, Upper Dir, has been completed. This initiative has been carried out with the support of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE), a government-led effort to promote tourism in the region. The primary goal of this project is to enhance tourism by ensuring easy access, proper guidance, and safe travel for visitors. Kumrat Valley, known globally for its natural beauty, waterfalls, dense forests, rivers, and towering mountains, continues to attract tourists from around the world. The newly installed signboards will provide accurate information regarding directions, distances, and key tourist spots, making travel safer and more comfortable for visitors. Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Chanzeb emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa holds immense potential in the tourism sector. He said the government is taking concrete steps to develop the sector on modern lines. Initiatives such as the installation of signboards play a significant role in facilitating tourists, boosting the local economy, and promoting safe tourism. He further stated that with the support of projects like KITE, the government is not only improving infrastructure but also ensuring the provision of essential facilities at key tourist destinations.
