Interior minister visits NPA

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited National Police Academy (NPA) and presided over an important meeting. During the meeting the interior minister reviewed construction work on under construction multi storey hostel building in NPA. Mohsin Naqvi also inspected model room set up in hostel. He directed to further improve model room besides giving task to complete the project of Elite police training school projects till May 31. He said the elite training of the officers will be conducted in NPA instead of provinces. He directed for installation of solar system in academy and decoration of existing building of academy. Decision was taken to build 3 new class rooms equipped with IT facilities for modern training. He gave direction for training through drone, night vision and modern arms saying focus be placed on developing promotional courses on modern lines and service delivery. He gave directives for establishment of driving school in NPA. Officers will be provided training of modern driving in driving school. Crime scene rooms be set up to further improve investigation capabilities. DG FIA Dr Usman Anwar, IG Islamabad police Ali Nasir Rizvi and other officers were present on the occasion.
