PESHAWAR: Unknown miscreants have destroyed a key link bridge near the Fateh Khel police checkpost in Bannu using explosive materials, cutting off road access to several nearby areas. According to police report on Tuesday, the bridge connecting the regions of Norar, Jani Khel, Miryan, Ghora and Baka Khel was serving as an important route for local residents and transportation. The explosion completely destroyed the bridge and suspended movement between the affected areas. Locals said that only two days earlier, a suicide vehicle bomb attack had targeted the Fateh Khel police checkpost located near the same bridge. After the attack, the damaged bridge reportedly became an easy target for further sabotage. Police said that unknown miscreants carried out the blast using explosive devices. Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and use alternative routes for travel. An investigation has been launched to identify those involved in the attack, while security measures in the area are being strengthened to prevent further incidents. APP
