The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan has said that interior minister retired Brigidair Aijaz Shah had passed hilarious remarks against the martyred the leadership of its party. “We (ANP) will not back down even an inch from our demand. We have two demands, one is the Commission of Inquiry and the other is that the Minister will have to resign within ten days,” adding that if he ( interior minister) did not resign by November 10, thousands of workers in red clothes will head to Islamabad and will not allow the minister to remain in his office.
Addressing a function at Union Council Khanmai Charsadda on the occasion of Suleiman Khan and his associates joining the ANP, Aimal Wali Khan said that nothing was in the hands of the incumbent government that why its party called for a commission of inquiry from the state.
In the commission, he said, all the state institutions would have to answer as to whose war on terror was and why we as a party have made these sacrifices.
“The state should not test our patience the Home Minister’s statement is a confession of guilt. We demand a commission of inquiry to investigate the whole (anti-terrorism) case,” he said.
Aimal Wali Khan announced that ANP was a trustworthy party of martyrs and the families of these martyrs will ask the elected rulers sitting in Islamabad with pictures of their loved ones.
Referring to the PDM rally in Peshawar on December 22, Aimal Wali Khan said that there was no disagreement among the political parties regarding the rally and the media should not try to extract water from the rocks in these circumstances.
He said that the people had been deprived of their right to vote in the 2018 general elections, the state should take the nails of conscience now, the people’s Jim Ghafir on November 22 could not be stopped by threats.
