ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Canadian High Commissioner Tarik Ali Khan at ministry of foreign affairs Monday. Appreciating the positive trajectory of Pak-Canada relations and ongoing high-level engagement, the DPM/FM emphasized further strengthening economic, trade, investment, agricultural, & people-to-people cooperation. The DPM/FM also acknowledged the important role of Pakistani diaspora in promoting bilateral ties. The High Commissioner thanked the DPM/FM for support in facilitating import of Canadian Canola into Pakistan and noted the progress of work by Barrick Gold on the Reko Diq Project and willingness of other Canadian companies to invest in Pakistan.
