The administration of Islamabad High Court has begun preparations to activate the Federal Shariat Court, with four courts on the third floor currently being readied.
According to sources, the Advocate General’s Office and the Attorney General’s Office have been vacated to facilitate the process. Two benches of the Federal Shariat Court will be established on the second floor. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani is overseeing the clearance of Court Two, and he, along with Justices Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, is expected to shift their benches accordingly.
Sources further indicate that Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan will preside over Court One, while Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar may be assigned to Court Two.
