Islamabad Police take part in rescue, relief operation

ISLAMABAD: In line with the directives of Inspector General Police (IGP), Muhammad Ahsan Younas in the wake of Murree tragedy, the Islamabad Police also took part in rescue and relief operation. A police spokesman said that the Capital Police are escorting the tourists coming from Murree to safer places while SSP Operations Syed Ali Akbar and SSP Traffic Rai Mazhar are supervising the relief operation. Ambulances were dispatched to bring back the bodies of ASI Navid and his family members, the spokesman informed adding the ASI was posted at police station Kohsar. He added ASP Kohsar Beenish Fatima, SHO Kohsar Shabbir Ahmed Tanoli and Additional SP Amna Baig also visited the house of ASI to condole deaths of family members. “Islamabad Traffic Police are on roads to control traffic rush and to facilitate the road users,” the spokesman said.
