A meeting of Tehsil Council was held at jirga hall on Wednesday aimed to discuss issues of illegal demolish and construction besides collecting of rent of commercial properties and establishment of unlawful taxi stands etc. in Landi Kotal bazaar.
The moot was presided by the Village Chairman Awais Khan and was attended by the Tehsil Chairman Haji Shah Khalid, Axion Zafarul Haq, Tehsil Officer Regulation (TOR)Haris Azhar,Sub-Engineer Mr. Yousaf,Accountant Officer Ajmer Shah and scores of village and neighborhood chairmen and councilors.
Addressing on the occasion Tehsil Chairman Haji Khalid thoroughly underlined the issue being faced by them and said that sub-committees would be formulated to address issues of health, education etc. in the area.
He maintained that being an alien system, they would face hardships in implementation but efforts would be made to work for the welfare of laymen.
Certain resolutions included granting right to Tehsil Municipal Authority of demolishing and new construction in Landi Kotal bazaar, action against sitting up illegal taxi stands, biding of state property and collection of rent of commercial properties in the bazaar.
Prior to it village and neighborhood chairmen highlighted problems being faced by them and said that years had passed but they were not provided development funds.
The councilors also threatened that if their demands were not met then all the councilors across the province would initiate a protest sit –in in front of Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
