PESHAWAR
Janbaz club lifted Ramadan Floodlight Games Tug-of-war event after defeating Peshawar Zalmi by 2-1 in the final played here at Qayyum Sports Complex on Thursday.
Councilor PTI PK 169 Nasir Pur Muhammad Iltaf Hussain was the chief guest on this occasion. President KP Tug-of-War Association Taj Muhammad Khan, Secretary KP Tug-of-war Association Sharif Khan, players and officials were also present.
A total of eight teams comprising Peshawar Zalmi, Qazi Club, Khyber Stars, Sapna XI, Nasir Pur Club, Jan Baz Club, Superb Stars and Tarnab Club took part in the Tug-of-war event part of the Ramadan Floodlight Games.
In the first semi-final Peshawar Zalmi defeated Khyber Stars by 2-1 while Jan Baz Club recorded victory against Superb Stars club by 2-0 and both Pesahwar Zalmi and Jan Baz club reached to the final. In the third position match Super Stars club defeated Khyber Stars club by 2-1.
