Amir Sirajul Haq of Jamaat-e-Islami Saturday said that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue its efforts to make the country a truly Islamic and welfare state and the day is not far when Pakistan will become an Islamic and welfare state.
Addressing a joint meeting of local party leaders and tribal elders at the residence of Sirajuddin Khan, a local member of Jamaat-e-Islami Provincial Assembly in Noakli area of Khar Tehsil, Siraj-ul-Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the only political party in the country which is working to make Pakistan an Islamic and welfare state. He said that Pakistan came into existence in the name of an Islamic and welfare state but unfortunately the former rulers of the country did nothing in this regard. Siraj-ul-Haq said that the biggest benefit in making Pakistan an Islamic and welfare state is the benefit of millions of people who are suffering due to corruption and wrong policies of the rulers.
The head of Jamaat-e-Islami said that all the political parties of the country call themselves democratic parties but there is no democracy within any party except Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamaat-e-Islami is the only party whose office bearers are elected in a purely democratic manner. He urged the local leaders and workers of the party to use all their abilities to make Jamaat-e-Islami a popular political party in Bajaur. Siraj-ul-Haq paid tribute to the leaders of Ittehad-e-Malkanan Bajaur for supporting the Jamaat-e-Islami candidates in the recent local body elections and hoped that the electoral alliance of Jamaat-e-Islami and Ittehad-e-Malkanan Bajaur would continue in Bajaur.
On this occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq offered Fateha for the reward of Burhanuddin Khan, elder brother of Member Provincial Assembly Siraj-ud-Din Khan who died during the Holy month of Ramadan.
