Deputy Inspector General of Police Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer Saleem Abbas Kalachi held an important jirga with leaders and elders of the Kaki community to review the law-and-order situation and strengthen cooperation on security matters.
According to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the police department for Bannu, the meeting covered security arrangements, crime prevention, measures to curb drug trafficking, and ongoing counterterrorism operations.
Community leaders briefed police on local concerns and offered suggestions, while reaffirming their support for the police’s efforts.
DIG Sajjad Khan and DPO Saleem Abbas Kalachi praised the Kaki community for its sacrifices and cooperation, calling Kaki “a land of martyrs” whose people have stood shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement to restore peace.
The officers also visited the home of martyred official Javed Khan to participate in a Fateha khawani and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
“The sacrifice of the martyr will not be forgotten,” the DIG said, adding the police remain determined to bring terrorists to justice.
