Jamiat UIema Islam (F) has opposed, while Pakistan Peoples Party supported the dialogue with Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) regarding deadlock on election date.
A consultative meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, regarding the court hearing on conducting elections on the same day. The Prime Minister also consulted with the allies on the current situation.
Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House and once again urged the government to show flexibility regarding negotiations with Imran Khan.
While the Prime Minister also called PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to the sources, Maulana Fazlur Rahman informed the Prime Minister about his position and said that he is not in favor of talks with Imran Khan in any case, instead of hastily dealing with this matter, time should be taken from the court after Eid. He said that if we have to accept all the demands of Tehreek-e-Insaf, then where will JUI (F) stand?
It cannot be accepted that Imran Khan is given safe passage at the cost of our politics. Senior Ministers and Attorney General were also present on this occasion.
