Kamran lauds people of GB for strengthening democracy

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangbash has paid rich tribute to the support extended by the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to prevail democracy who despite snowy and server weather exercised their right of vote.
Kamran Khan Bangash has expressed these views in a statement issued here. He said the people of Baltistan have proved their democracy by voting and supporting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The snowy and bad weather did not create any hurdles and the people of Gilgit-Baltistan enthusiastically participated in the election.
Regarding the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, the Special Assistant said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers were not going to stop or bow down and justice would prevail.
According to him, like other parts of Pakistan, the slogan of “Tapa on Bat” has resonated in Gilgit-Baltistan as well. Kamran Bangash said that to ensure availability of essential commodities especially food items at fixed prices, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has imported 20,000 metric tonnes of sugar to reduce prices, which is the official norm in Insaf Sasta Bazars and general stores across the province.
The price is Rs 87.50 per kg. On the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is fully active and the people are being dealt with iron hands against hoarding and illicit profiteers.
He said that the government, administration and volunteers of Tiger Force were fulfilling their responsibility to expose the profiteers and hoarders and the people should also identify them to bring the hoarders and illegitimate profiteers to justice.
Special Assistant Kamran Bangash said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued instructions to district administrations and concerned authorities across the province to ensure all facilities in the shelters while appealing to the people to guide all the homeless people around them to reach the shelters.
He further said that all kinds of facilities have been provided for the passengers and homeless people in the shelters in this severe cold and the government is making sure that no homeless person or traveler is exposed to the recent cold in the country.
